The Demise of Applied Vectors

  • Aug. 11th, 2010 at 12:14 PM

As the seasons change so does the focus of myself and my wife and business partner Anne Liddle. For this reason, we have decided to cease trading as Applied Vectors. Our books will still be available as legacy products on RPGnow etc, but there will be nothing new from us.

It is the end of an era, and marks a big change in our lives. Myself and Anne are embarking upon Open University courses BSc Environmental Science for myself and BA History for Anne, this will take a lot of time (roughly 6 years) and we won’t have a lot of time to spend creating product.

Also, my heart isn’t in it anymore. I’ve been a roleplayer since I was about 14yrs old (im 38 now) and apart from the odd break here and there I’ve been gaming pretty much constantly since then. My main focus in publishing was the CORPS Rules Expansion, which has now been available since early last year, call it my Magnum Opus if you like – it was the one book I most wanted to get published, and it’s done now.

As for the future – well over the last few years I discovered digital art (as some of you may know) I want to concentrate on creating art and learning how to do digital painting for myself – rather than for books.

Thank you all for your custom and support since we began this venture, you’ve all been fantastic.

And finally to quote Douglas Adams – Goodbye and thanks for all the fish :)

Poetic Distate

  • May. 29th, 2010 at 10:59 PM
Hey there

A good friend of ours has created a webblog where she discusses a variety of issues including Writing, Mental Health, Sexuality, and Life.

www.poeticdistaste.com/

"Born in 1985, Laurie struggles with depression, and is focusing strongly on helping herself at the moment. She loves animals, and has 6 budgies. She loves writing poetry, online journals, and is experimenting with articles."

As some of us creative types know it is a fine line between genius and insanity, and oft times it's difficult to know where that line is. Please visit the site, and if any of the content appeals to you (or not) please let Laurie know.

Thanks.

Future Firearms Pack Two

  • Feb. 14th, 2010 at 9:55 PM
Applied Vectors has launched our newest product:

FUTURE FIREARMS PACK TWO

Another selection of four of the finest weapons that the future has to offer.

All artwork is beautifully rendered in 3D for enhanced realism and for your viewing pleasure.

The book includes the following weapon designs:

The Milman Enforcer: The Enforcer is an early PL7 Combination of Tangler gun and mini-grenade launcher. Popular with law enforcement and security forces worldwide.

K-8 Punisher: Found in the hands of elite and special forces personnel, this concussion rifle is at the cutting edge of modern technology.

MGS-Retribution: Created for use by corporate security, this weapon has some issues with overheating and a tremendous discharge sound, but it remains a firm favorite due to its sheer stopping power.

The Leveller: An experimental disintegrator weapon. Its techno-organic makeup is a continuation of genetic engineering, combined with advanced materials and power technologies.

This is available from RPGNow here
